Outreach Programs

AWIS LA-Ventura County Outreach Program is designed for groups of 2-3 women in science to give a 45 min interactive Powerpoint presentation to middle and high school students on how/why they became interested in science, the importance of science, how to get involved at a young age, and a short description of their research (at a very basic level).

Contact president@awislavc.org if interested in volunteering or learning more.

Interested in Outreach Opportunities? Please take a minute to fill out our Outreach Survey, to indicate your interest to speak to junior high or high school students and give suggestions on new schools to contact. We're always looking for new ideas and ways to reach the next generation of scientists!
