Outreach Programs

The AWIS LA-Ventura County Chapter is launching an Outreach Program and we need YOUR help! We are developing a program to bring female scientists into local middle school and high school classrooms to discuss their areas of science, what they do, and how they became involved in science programs. We have been contacting local middle and high school teachers throughout the Los Angeles area and are ready to launch our new program by visiting classrooms. We would love your involvement in this exciting new outreach program! Please take a couple of minutes to fill out this short survey to indicate how you are willing to be involved and what will work best for your schedule. This will allow us to estimate how many classrooms we can visit and to schedule visits with the teachers who are excited to have our expertise in their classrooms. us!
